Energy & Blockchain Analyst

Internship Description

EDF Innovation Lab is seeking an intern to support R&D activities related to Blockchain and transactive energy business models.
The ideal candidate would:
  1. be an undergraduate or graduate student with energy industry and market experience
  2. have interest in (and ideally knowledge of) Blockchain and industrial use cases
  3. have a technical major/background and/or demonstrate ability to quickly grasp technical concepts,
  4. be available to work in our Los Altos office during the summer, and perhaps for 4-10 hours per week for much of 2018 (perhaps remotely during non-summer months), and
  5. preferably have coding abilities in Blockchain or demonstrated ability to quickly learn this.
The main activities will include:
  • Market surveying of relevant technical, commercial, and regulatory activities, and analysis with periodic reports and/or contributions to reports
  • Identification of potential partners and demonstrations projects
  • Demonstration project support
  • Potentially developing code to simulate proof-of-concept ideas

This should be a very exciting and cutting-edge opportunity for the right candidate.

Ability to work in a collaborative, multicultural environment is a must. A strong interest in innovation and the energy sector is preferred but not required. Proficiency in the French language is a bonus, but not at all required.
