Vorpal

Main content start

Vorpal developed a small, low energy device for sterilizing liquids using pulsed electric field (PEF) technology. Their technology improves on prior PEF devices in size, cost, and efficiency; it is handheld and has the potential to purify nearly 100 liters of water from the energy stored in a common household 9v battery (or a small solar panel system). Vorpal's initial focus is on small, portable systems for emerging economies, but the technology is scalable and can be extended to larger commercial systems while retaining high inherent efficiency.
