Scope Zero

Scope Zero is a fintech platform that facilitates its new employee benefit called a carbon savings account (CSA). The CSA uses a similar framework to a health savings account (HSA) to reduce the upfront capital cost of efficient and electric home technology and personal transportation upgrades for employees. Employers are incentivized to offer the CSA benefit to improve their sustainability efforts and to earn carbon credits through CSA-enabled carbon emission reductions. This collaboration between corporations and individuals creates the financial incentives and educational foundation to address the 33% of total US carbon emissions that come from residential energy consumption and personal vehicle usage.
