Insurance companies are increasingly struggling to assess price and insure risk as the frequency of extreme weather events related to climate change challenge legacy models. Compounding these issues, a low carbon transition strategy for any country or industry requires significant investment in infrastructure that itself is subject to these risks. Federato aims to help underwriters distribute risk, avoiding the need for expensive risk transfer strategies, and ensuring investments critical to a sustainable future can be protected at prices that do not jeopardize investors’ returns.
