Cetera Energy is developing an electrochemical process to recover battery-grade lithium from unconventional water resources, including oil and gas produced water and other low-concentration domestic brines. By enabling recovery from resources that conventional extraction technologies cannot economically address, the company aims to unlock new domestic sources of lithium while creating value from existing industrial water streams. The team is focused on scaling the technology toward commercial deployment for critical mineral recovery from unconventional water resources.
