The fashion industry is responsible for 8% of global greenhouses gases and 20% of wastewater. Yet, the average item of clothing is worn fewer than 7 times, according to one study. We are on a mission to reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry by keeping clothing in-wear for as long as possible. To do this, we strive to accelerate the growth of secondhand fashion, so that consumers shift away from fast fashion into the circular economy. Archive is a resale marketplace which brings buyers, sellers and fashion brands together for the first time and allows consumers to buy and sell secondhand clothing on a fashion brand’s website, leveraging the brand photos and other product assets. In doing so, Archive solves pain points for all three stakeholders.
