SOURCE Climate Solutions: Commercial building energy use in schools, office buildings, and warehouses is responsible for 20% of carbon emissions and must be upgraded at 3x the current annual rate to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. In response, states and cities across the U.S. are mandating energy upgrades through Building Performance Standards resulting in regulatory tailwinds that are driving increased energy retrofit demand. Yet today, cost-effective commercial building energy services like energy efficiency, virtual power plants, and renewable energy are not scaling due to high project identification costs and lack of access to financing. That is why SOURCE is developing an AI-enabled project design platform to streamline commercial building decarbonization. SOURCE delivers automatic building energy modeling to virtually estimate energy cost savings potential, identify high-impact energy technologies, and streamline project financing. This eliminates 100s of hours of engineering effort required in today’s project life cycle which will lead to thousands of sustainable energy projects deployed across the country. Join us in building the go to trusted SOURCE for Climate Solutions and accelerating climate solution deployment in cities.
Scale Up: Today, SOURCE provides a version 1.0 retrofit analytics technology that empowers energy upgrade companies to target new customers and price energy projects. We are focused on expanding our technology platform by integrating automatic building energy modeling that will provide grounds for streamlined financial products. In 2022 SOURCE took part in Stanford Climate Ventures and the U.S. Department of Energy IMPEL program. SOURCE was a semi-finalist in the MIT Clean Energy Prize and Innovation Crossroads at Oak Ridge National Lab. SOURCE has received grants from the TomKat Center for Sustainable Energy, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Stanford Professionals in Real Estate, and the Business Associated of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students.
