Internship Term: 8 weeks

Molecular Biology Intern
Responsibilities
- Culture and differentiate muscle cell lines
- Characterize differentiation efficiency of muscle cell lines
- Optimize culture conditions based on cell and media profiling
- Polymer modification and characterization
- Work directly with founding engineering team

Required expertise
- Cell culture (2D)
- Tissue engineering
- Polymer synthesis
- Can work autonomously
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
Bonus experience: Molecular biology characterization (immunofluorescent staining, qPCR, metabolic profiling, etc).

R&D Engineering Intern
Responsibilities
- Design and build flow chips for tissue engineering
- Mechanically characterize 3D tissues
- Build, execute and report proof of concept experiments
- Work directly with founding engineering team

Required expertise
- CAD modeling (Solidworks)
- Design of machined components
- Hands-on prototyping experience
- Can work autonomously
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
Bonus experience: Previous work in a wet lab. Experience with mechanical testing systems (ex. Instron). Programming experience (Python, Matlab).
