Reel Foods is on a mission to create and scale sustainable cultivated seafood products that will offer consumers a responsible way to consume the seafood they love. Their proprietary platform, ported over from cardiac tissue engineering, enables natural, whole-cut fish filets with limited additives and cell-driven texture.

  • Design and build flow chips for tissue engineering
  • Mechanically characterize 3D tissues
  • Build, execute and report proof of concept experiments
  • Work directly with founding engineering team

Who should apply

Required expertise

  • CAD modeling (Solidworks)
  • Design of machined components
  • Hands-on prototyping experience
  • Can work autonomously
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills

Bonus experience: Previous work in a wet lab. Experience with mechanical testing systems (ex. Instron). Programming experience (Python, Matlab).
