Molecular Biology Intern

Responsibilities

  • Culture and differentiate muscle cell lines
  • Characterize differentiation efficiency of muscle cell lines
  • Optimize culture conditions based on cell and media profiling
  • Polymer modification and characterization
  • Work directly with founding engineering team

Required expertise

  • Cell culture (2D)
  • Tissue engineering
  • Polymer synthesis
  • Can work autonomously
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills

Bonus experience: Molecular biology characterization (immunofluorescent staining, qPCR, metabolic profiling, etc).

R&D Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

  • Design and build flow chips for tissue engineering
  • Mechanically characterize 3D tissues
  • Build, execute and report proof of concept experiments
  • Work directly with founding engineering team

Who should apply

  • Highly motivated, scrappy & action-oriented individuals who wants hands-on, experience in an independent role in the early stages of a startup.

Required expertise

  • CAD modeling (Solidworks)
  • Design of machined components
  • Hands-on prototyping experience
  • Can work autonomously
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills

 

Bonus experience: Previous work in a wet lab. Experience with mechanical testing systems (ex. Instron). Programming experience (Python, Matlab).
