Fundusol LLC is a startup rapidly deploying Agrivoltaics around the United States. Working at the forefront of energy and agricultural innovation, we leverage computational modeling, creative marketing, and an expansive network of industry leaders to lead the Agrivoltaics revolution. Specifically, we consult solar developers on how to design and execute Agrivoltaics projects. Ownership and ingenuity are ingrained in everything we do, from the code we write to the projects we drive. Responsibilities

  • Project planning: Source strategic partnerships necessary to build utility scale Agrivoltaics in the fields of agriculture, energy, research, and finance. 
  • Project management: Coordinate with these partners to create a project finance strategy, navigate the permitting process, and turn conceptual designs into construction plans.
  • Client Presentations: Create compelling reports to send to clients that combine Fundusol’s Agrivoltaics simulation results with research on local agriculture, economic, and regulatory factors to assist clients with executing projects.
  • Optional:
    • Software engineering: Work with Fundusol’s software engineering team on building machine learning models to predict agricultural outcomes, developing internal and external user interfaces, or creating a digital twin models of a solar arrays (project will depend on your background and experience)

Any Stanford student with the skillset to fulfill the responsibilities above can and should apply. We are especially looking for someone with thorough domain knowledge of the solar energy industry, who feels confident helping to coordinate a large-scale solar project.

This job description could be for a solar project manager with 10+ years of experience because of the ownership, creativity, and responsibility it allows for. We will teach you how to coordinate the execution of projects that power tens of thousands of homes while providing food to local communities, as you learn how to help operate a technology-based energy startup.

As such, beyond the responsibilities above, the summer will consist of attending conferences with industry leaders, meeting with executives at solar companies, and any learning experience you believe will productively contribute to your summer experience.

Required Expertise

  • Prior coursework in energy economics or experience at a solar company
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in excel 
  • Ability to coordinate projects with many stakeholders

Preferred Skills/Majors

  • Proficiency with python-based data science and visualization packages
  • Experience building server driven user interfaces 
  • Experience or course work in machine learning
