THE HIGHLIGHTS

FarmRaise is hiring a Product Design Intern to help us improve our tools and resources that empower farmers to secure funding and manage finances effectively.

In this role, you will:

  • Support Design Operations: Help maintain FarmRaise’s design system, audit existing designs, and create organized Figma components.
  • Collaborate on Prototypes: Build interactive prototypes in Figma to support usability testing and user interviews.
  • Contribute to Marketing and UX: Create visual assets for blog posts, social media, and emails while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Explore AI Tools: Experiment with tools like ChatGPT to enhance ideation, prototyping, and documentation processes.
  • Research and Update Resources: Assist in organizing and updating tools like the FarmRaise Funding Library to ensure accuracy and accessibility for farmers.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

This internship will equip you with essential skills to succeed in product design, research, and user experience, including:

  1. Working in an Agile Team: Gain experience in workflows like standups, sprints, and retrospectives.
  2. Design Iteration: Learn to move from low-fidelity wireframes to polished high-fidelity designs.
  3. User Research Skills: Conduct user interviews, take effective notes, and synthesize insights into actionable design ideas.
  4. Accessibility Basics: Understand how to design inclusive products, focusing on standards like color contrast and keyboard navigation.
  5. AI Integration: Experiment with AI tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and design documentation.
  6. Database Management: Learn how to organize and update resources that serve a real user base.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In three weeks: You’re up to speed with FarmRaise tools and workflows, and you’ve successfully contributed to your first design tasks or resource updates.

In six weeks: You’re confidently managing tasks like building prototypes, improving design system components, or creating visual assets that align with FarmRaise’s standards.

By the end of the internship: You’ve made a meaningful impact by supporting design projects and workflows, leaving behind clear, organized, and impactful work that helps FarmRaise better serve farmers.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

You might be pursuing a degree in any field or simply have a desire to learn more about design, research, or technology. We welcome applicants who are curious, organized, and eager to make an impact—no specific academic background required.
