Ceres Imaging is a venture-backed agriculture technology company with a mission to help farmers be better stewards of the land while increasing farmer profitability. At Ceres Imaging, we are changing the way farmers manage their crops. We acquire, process, and analyze multispectral aerial imagery of farms, to monitor crop variables such as plant nutrient and water content. Our large (and growing) customer base throughout California, the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, Canada, Australia, South America, and Portugal use our insights to improve crop management practices like fertilizer application, irrigation schedules, and stress/disease detection.

As a GIS project intern, you will work closely with the Operations R&D team, as well as our sales, marketing, and science teams to help identify customer-driven projects, further ongoing research collaborations, and contribute to research to develop new products and analyses from the imagery we acquire. You will help investigate and assess feasibility of projects based on geographical constraints, costs, and data availability. Additionally, you may be involved in improving the quality of our automated image processing pipeline and assisting with operationalizing our internal workflows.

- Good communication skills
- GIS/Remote Sensing experience
- Experience working with in GIS software (e.g., ArcMap, ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Experience working with geospatial datasets (e.g., ENVI, Erdas Imagine)
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving and decision-making
- Experience with preparing/editing scripts (e.g., python or R) desirable
