Aurora Solar is a cloud-based software company that uses AI, 3D modeling, and aerial imagery to help solar professionals design and sell residential and commercial solar systems, simplifying everything from site assessments to proposals with reliable energy and financial estimates.
Responsibilities
- Assist in building and improving features for Aurora’s solar design and sales platform
- Write clean, maintainable code with guidance from experienced engineers
- Participate in agile development practices, including check ins, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers on real-world projects
- Learn best practices for testing, code reviews, and deploying software

Preferred Skills/Background
- Majors in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields
- Exposure to Ruby, JavaScript, Python, C++, or similar programming languages
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, React, or modern web frameworks (a plus, not required)
- Experience using Git or other version control tools
- Interest in clean energy, sustainability, or climate tech
