Life Cycle Assessment Intern

Responsibilities

  • You will work directly with the CEO to build a life-cycle-assessment for our first product, the Artyc Medstow Mini. This work will build off internal modeling already done. The goal of the summer is to produce a quantitative approach including ISO compliant life cycle analysis (LCA) modelling around our first product, as well as identify opportunities for improvement in our existing supply chain.   
  • Additional projects include:
    • Strategic research into opportunities for product decarbonization, circular economy frameworks and sustainability of materials.  
    • Artyc’s BCorp: work cross-functionally to gather internal data required by application

Required Expertise

  • CEE 226 – Life Cycle Assessment for Complex Systems
  • Quantitative manipulation of large data sets including connecting disparate data sets (via Excel, Python, SQL, etc)
  • Comfort building a model from scratch

Skills:

  • Advanced Excel, Python, or SQL

Mechanical Test Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

  • You will work with the Mechanical Engineering team to test, break, test our first product, the Artyc Medstow Mini. This work will be done internally and using external test sites. The goal of the summer intern is to help qualify and document, as well as identify opportunities for improvement in our first product before launch.  

Additional projects include:

  • Reliability testing 
  • Building the framework for Quality Assurance
