Responsibilities

  • Hands-on synthesis and formulation of materials for electrolytes
  • Characterization of electrochemical performance and physical and chemical properties of materials
  • Co-design experiments with a mentor and communicate results to the team

Who Should Apply

Juniors or seniors (graduating seniors eligible)

Required Expertise

  • Hands-on experience safely working on wet chemistry in a research lab or industrial setting
  • Basic data plotting and analysis using excel, python, or other tools

Preferred Skills/Majors

  • Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields
  • Hands-on experience in one or more of these areas is beneficial but not required
  • 3 months or 6 month internships   
    • Working in a glovebox
    • Polymer chemistry
    • Characterization of mechanical properties
    • Electrochemical sample preparation and measurement
    • Battery materials
