Responsibilities

Battery Testing & Evaluation:

  • Design, set up, and perform tests on batteries to assess their performance, cycle life, capacity, efficiency, and safety.
  • Analyze test data to evaluate the functionality, durability, and quality of battery systems under various operating conditions.
  • Monitor battery performance, diagnose issues, and identify areas for improvement.

Documentation:

  • Document test procedures, methodologies, and results accurately, ensuring that all relevant data is stored and archived for future reference.
  • Assist in the development of technical documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Test Equipment Setup and Maintenance:

  • Set up and calibrate test equipment, including battery testing charge/discharge cyclers, environmental chambers, and other tools.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot test equipment, ensuring accurate and consistent results.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyze and interpret test data, providing detailed reports on battery performance and suggesting improvements based on test results.
  • Use statistical tools and software to analyze trends, detect anomalies, and generate insights for R&D and quality control.

Collaboration & Problem-Solving:

  • Work closely with R&D engineers to help refine battery designs, focusing on performance and safety enhancements.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for issues identified during testing and contribute to problem-solving efforts.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols related to battery testing.
  • Help maintain a safe testing environment by following proper safety procedures and protocols, particularly when working with hazardous materials

Required Expertise

Education:

  • Working towards or completion of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Excel, or LabVIEW).
  • Experience working in a wet chemistry or biological laboratory through academic research or internship. 

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in test execution and data analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and evolving environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
