We are a small team of scientists and engineers revolutionizing clean ammonia production using a novel synthesis process we call Haber-Bosch 2.0. Our technology uses state-of-the-art material science and engineering techniques to reduce the energy and cost of ammonia production, decarbonizing one of the most important chemicals in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Reactor planning and assembly: Work with outside vendors to spec, order, and build chemical reactor systems
  • Scientific data collection: Work with our control systems to monitor and manipulate our reactors
  • Add new reactor features with custom controls interface programming and development (Python)
  • Set up and use various scientific instruments such as mass spectrometers, mass flow controllers, thermogravic analyzers, and more
  • Give team-wide, data-driven presentations, using analysis tools like Jupyter and other Python libraries
  • Have meaningful impact on our tools, processes, and products
  • Develop new and novel materials for use in our wet lab, for use reactor systems

Who should apply:

We’re looking for excited and value-aligned science and engineering students with a research focus. We are particularly interested in those with experience working in a research lab, collecting and presenting data, and building tools to advance research. Applicants will be asked to demonstrate boundary-pushing experiences in their academic or professional careers.

Required expertise:

A solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and basic engineering principles. A desire to build and experiment. Experience with lab research and data analysis is a huge plus, as is chemical engineering fundamentals.

Preferred skills/Majors:

Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Physics
