Internship Term: 8 weeks
Airys is building the GTM engine and intelligence for infrastructure vendors selling to local governments. Driven by industrial reshoring, the AI power crunch, and extreme weather, local infrastructure needs (like roads and bridges) are booming, but selling to cities remains difficult due to disorganized data. Our product acts as the digital connective tissue, processing unstructured municipal noise—like city council PDFs—into strategic, actionable intelligence. Our vision is to accelerate the transition to a resilient, AI-integrated built environment and enable better public-private cooperation.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities vary based on experience and background:
- Technical Focus: Contribute to backend AI/ML algorithms, scrape civic data, and refine data ingestion pipelines.
- Policy/Domain Focus: Build deep local government knowledge, identify access moats, and develop relationships with cities and counties.
- All: Own specific product workflows from ideation to execution and conduct domain-level deep dives
Who should apply
We are looking for scrappy people who take ownership. Technical expertise is not a requirement, but the ability to create—whether it's code, relationships, or full databases—is a must. You should be low-ego, heads down, and ready to grind on difficult problems. This role has the potential to expand after the internship concludes if there is a mutual fit.
Required expertise
Deep familiarity with AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, etc. or advanced ChatGPT workflows). Genuine passion for the built environment and local government.
