Kukua Labs is dedicated to building products and services that enhance outcomes and profits of off-grid / "bad grid" families in the developing world. Our product is a low-cost, energy-efficient poultry egg incubator that makes at-home, artificial incubation affordable and viable for the over 350 million chicken farmers worldwide who lack access to reliable electricity.

Our team of graduates from Stanford’s ME and CEE departments formed out of the GSB’s Design for Extreme Affordability course and has won grants from Stanford’s TomKat Center and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers for our technology.

We are currently piloting our product with a number of off-grid solar power providers in Africa and Asia with hopes to begin scaling production as soon as possible.
