Location: Remote, can co-work some days if based in the Bay Area

Compensation: $8,000
Internship Term: 8 weeks
We are a seed climate-tech startup in the food/ag space. Our goal is to be the engine behind reducing nearly 15% of all greenhouse-gas emissions, creating an emissions reduction platform for the beef and dairy industries.
Lasso’s software platform makes on-farm emissions reduction projects easier than ever to scale and finance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with co-founders on ongoing initiatives
- (if interested) Participate in sales and marketing calls for additional learnings / exposure to different functions
- Perform desk research across public sources, academic journals, data sets, and news articles
- Lead calls and meetings with industry experts, farmers and existing customers
- If intern has software engineering skills:
- Contribute to and connect with existing product prototype construction
- Work hand-in-hand with technical lead for any connection to workstream
- Participate in some existing data analytics, software programming or UI/UX work
Who should apply
- Passionate about tackling emissions in the agriculture sector, specifically methane emissions in the dairy and beef industries
- Comfortable with ambiguity and end-to-end project ownership - co-founders give you a lot of autonomy to solve problems in the way you think is best and will not micromanage you
- Proactive and eager to contribute to a fast-moving startup
Required expertise
- Preference for sophomore or junior candidates with at least 1 summer internship experience
