Gemini Energy Solutions (Gemini) is an energy-efficiency consulting firm that supports small and medium sized businesses and municipalities in their efforts to become more economically resilient by becoming more energy efficient. We provide relevant and accurate information to our clients so they can make strategic business decisions. Our organization and scale are unique to the industry. While other energy-efficiency companies will work with several dozen businesses over a year, we are building the company to work with several thousand. Gemini's priority is, first and foremost reducing the greenhouse emissions of commercial buildings. Closely following this is Gemini's goal of educating businesses and communities about energy-efficiency to drive meaningful behavior change. We believe Gemini’s unique business strategy will enable us to be the leader in the small commercial sector in the next few years.

As a summer intern, you will be working primarily on business development activities. This entails researching information, calculating savings potential vs. expenses for potential clients, and developing presentations. You will work closely with Gemini’s executive team, attending client meetings and engaging with city officials. This internship will include both office and field work. Through this internship, you will gain experience in effective communication and increase your knowledge of the energy efficiency sector. For those who wish to pursue a career in energy efficiency, there will be a lot of interaction with professionals in all areas of the industry.

Responsibilities

As an intern, your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the creation of business arguments for utility pilots,
  • Participate in community engagement and education,
  • Be a liaison for climate change activist groups,
  • Update the Gemini Platform,
  • Perform on-site Energy Assessments
